Breeches

Breeches

The riding breeches, although not as fundamental as a helmet, makes you feel more comfortable.
Breeches or Jodhpurs
The breeches are the traditional breeches. Reach a few centimeters below the knee, which fit perfectly. To protect the bottom of your leg, put on your high riding boots with breeches.
The jodhpurs, conform perfectly to the ankles, which prevents the legs suffer a rubbing or irritation to the body of the bracket and can go outside of the shoe, so you do not need long boots, you can use boots.

Materials and style
Both types of trousers used to be made in corduroy or twill. The corduroy was reinforced with pieces of genuine suede leather or imitation, sewn into the inner knee. Because there was still no stretch fabrics, these pants were too baggy above the knee, in order to leave enough room to move.
Today, synthetics have transformed multielásticos riding gear: the legs are styled so that they fit perfectly and the material still gives himself enough to make you feel comfortable.
Synthetic fabrics are also practical: you can wash them in washing machines and are "wash and use", ie, dry quickly and require no ironing. Depending on the mix of materials used in their manufacture, can acquire a breech light to carry in summer and a warm for winter.
Styles vary, especially as regards details. Many of them have been filled with cloth on the seat and knees that make them more resistant padded. Some have inside pockets, side or front zipper. There are different models of belts with which you can combine and some pants come with built-in belt.

Colours
The breeches are now available in a wide range of colors, besides white, beige and yellow standard. The traditional neutral shades are suitable for competitions, you should not wear a breech of color for special occasions or events protocol.
